I am Grace Gardner and I love to swim! I do think that you would like to know a little more about me and my goals though so let me share some highlights with you.
One of my major goals is to attend a college where I can not only be challenged with schooling, but also join a swim program that will push me athletically. My idea of what I would like to study changes quite often but I am 100% certain that I would like to work with people who have special needs in some way. Some careers that I am more seriously considering are a special education teacher, or an occupational therapist for people with special needs of all ages. Academics are just as important as athletics for me as I have pushed myself, and will be graduating high school with not only a high school diploma but a college associates degree as well. At this time my weighted GPA is a 4.3 and unweighted a 3.97.
Athletics are very important for me as well as a freshman I was a four sport athlete, and completing sophomore year I was awarded with being a three sport athlete. Sports are my way to relax, while also finding success and pushing myself. Although I love a wide range of sports swimming has always held a special place in my heart. I began swimming when I was 4 and have not stopped since.
Over my last two years in high school I have had the chance to display my natural leadership skills through my officer positions in FFA, student council, and class president. I am excited to put what I have learned to work in my new position as the youth member on my city council. These positions show the leadership and commitment that I would be more than excited to bring to any team. Another accomplishment that speaks a lot about me is my business that I have built, Giving With Grace. With my business I sell generalized cards, and for every card that I sell I send a card to a hospital patient somewhere in the country. I began sending cards as a project before I started selling them and founded my business, up to date I have sent almost 6,000 get well soon cards all over the country.
If you have anything else you would like to know about me I would love to hear from you!
