I live with my parents and younger sister on a small farm. I am a farm girl through and through. I love to spend my time outside working with my animals or working on my volleyball skills. Since we are not close to a gym, I try to use what I can on the farm to continue to develop my game. I practice jumping on my dad's 4ft x4ft hay bales to work on increasing my vertical jump. I sprint the length of fields for endurance and I have also rigged a tandem hitting devise for our tether-ball pole to work on my hitting approach, extension and follow-through. I am looking for a school that will fit with my two passions in life, a degree in agriculture as well as to play volleyball with ladies that love the game as much as I do.
I have a very close and competitive family, playing some form of competitive game at all our family gatherings. I first became interested in volleyball in elementary school while watching my cousin as an Outside Hitter in high school and then in college. After playing recreational league volleyball and Junior High Volleyball I knew volleyball was my game. My Freshman year was probably my most beneficial building year as an athlete. My coach as well as patient upper class-men taught me about being a dedicated teammate, having a good work ethic and teaching me leadership skills. I also learned the benefits gained from sacrifice as I put in double practices, practicing with both the Junior Varsity as well as the Varsity teams while maintaining an A average. This desire, focus and drive lead to my receiving the First Team All Conference Award my Junior year. My dedication, leadership and character earned me the honor of my school’s 2020-2021 Miss Trojan title. I feel my experiences at all of these levels would make me an asset to any collegiate team. I am a well rounded athlete, coach-able and willing to put in the hard work required to meet my goals as well as my team’s goals.
