Anna Case '20 Recruiting Profile

   Just like any other kid I took swim lessons. I liked the way it felt to be in the water so when the lessons were over and I knew the basics, I joined my neighborhood’s summer swim team. Following that I joined my first club team. Over the past 11 years, I’ve found more reasons to love swimming. Now I swim because it makes me happier than anything i’ve ever experienced. When I’m in the water all my troubles and worries disappear. Swimming has made me the person I am today.

    I am currently on my high school’s varsity swim and dive team. My freshman year I qualified for state in my 50 freestyle and qualified again my sophomore year in my 50 and 100 freestyle. Along the way there have been times where I questioned myself but I learned from those times and used them to better myself as a student athlete.

    Ever since my very first practice on my summer team, it’s been my dream to swim in college. However, I have struggled academically. I am working hard to become a better student. Just like any swimming obstacle, I have been working through it and I am confident that it will no longer hold me back.
