Swimming is a huge part of my personal identity. I started swimming club at 5 years old. I’ve worked hard throughout my early career, and accomplished several High Point Awards and also was named Swimmer of the Year in Suburban Swim League (swimming for my summer team, Westminster Swim Club.) I am now a summer coach there, and it is extremely rewarding to work with children and teens to help them achieve their goals. I still have records with my first club team (DST) and have been part of 3 different relays that still hold the records in The Middle Atlantic LSC. I have represented Mid Atlantic for the Eastern Zone Team at both winter and summer Zones. It has always been my dream to be able to swim at College level. My grades are very important to me and my goal is to continue to make Honor Roll and hopefully be selected for NHS this year. Ursuline Academy school motto is “Insieme” which means together. I thrive in this environment with my sisters! They are a driving force and I support them in the same way, always pushing them to achieve! My grades and swimming for my high school and clubs teams are my top priority at this moment. Leading the Raiders this season as their team captain, Ursuline Academy placed 2nd in the DIAA High School State Championship in Feb 2020. As for my club team, Brandywine YMCA National Team, my goal is to get back in the groove and hopefully be able to compete this season in the new normal. I have been swimming organized practices with my summer team, (as I coach too), to try to keep my feel for the water and stay in shape. I need to be a little creative (like everyone) with workouts since the coronavirus has prevented me from being in the water with my club team. I have an excellent work ethic and I’m a natural born leader. I believe I have a very balanced combination of academic achievements, athleticism , leadership skills and extracurriculars that help me me be a well rounded young adult and student athlete.
