I began the sport when I was nine years old after I found that I was good at open-water swimming. Ever since I was younger, I have been a pretty good swimmer so the sport was a no-brainer for me. Once I started, I fell in love with the sport and it became my favorite thing to do. While going to practice might be exasperating for some, I genuinely enjoy going. I love the team atmosphere, as well as the challenge it provides for me both physically and mentally. I cannot be grateful enough for the countless blessings that swimming has given me.
I believe that I am a different candidate than others because I am very hardworking. In fact, I am known on my team for being extremely dedicated and I rarely miss a practice. Additionally, I am very good at time management as I have kept my grades exceptional even though I am in the pool constantly. I always go above and beyond to make sure swimming is not just an extra-curricular, but a lifestyle.
Swimming in college is one of my biggest goals and aspirations. Swimming is a huge part of my life and takes up most of my time, therefore swimming in college will be an easy transition. Over my next two years of high school, I will continue to improve in the sport so that I will be a great addition to whichever college team I commit to.
