Hi! My name is Paige Lane. I am a rising senior and I have been swimming competitively for the past eight years. For as long as I can remember, I have always loved to be in the water. Since I grew up in Florida, my parents decided it would be beneficial for me to learn how to swim. I knew swimming was for me as soon as I took my first few strokes. My passion for the sport has continued to grow and I am excited to see it flourish even more in college.
I am very hardworking, determined, and committed. During the shutdown, I decided that I wanted to return to swimming in the best shape of my life. I am no stranger to adversity; I knew this was another challenge that I was going to conquer. I even built a pool in my backyard to maintain my feel for the water and did daily spin workouts to enhance my cardiovascular fitness. Recently, I incorporated a new strength training regimen and I have already seen tremendous results. My Coach and I believe that I am just beginning to tap into my potential.
My goals for the upcoming year include achieving my Junior National cuts and beyond. With the positive changes I have made over the past few months, I believe I can accomplish these goals. I want to find a university that challenges me both athletically and academically. I am looking forward to being a part of a collegiate team and creating wonderful memories with my teammates!
