I have overcome many obstacles in my life that make me who I am today. I have been through many things no high schooler should go through throughout their life. October of 2015 my teammate Dylan passed away from Osteosarcoma. So, I made a promise to him that I would never give up swimming for him. I would always continue to swim for him.
I was 10 years old when I started swimming and immediately fall in love with it. However I didn't start competing until I was 11 years old. Throughout my years of swimming I have grown as a person. I have gained confidence in myself, motivation to do activities, and I feel so proud of all the things I have accomplished. I believe I can be a very strong swimmer for any team I swim for. I plan on making it to the GHSA State Swim Meet. My main goal in swimming however is to be able to swim in college. When I look at a college I picture myself at that school and being able to reach the goals I have set for myself throughout my swimming career.
