I bring maturity, focus, and drive both academically and in the pool, and I would be a strong asset to your swim team. Swimming may be mostly individual events, but the real magic is cheering on deck for your friends and teammates, boosting their adrenaline, and feeling them pushing you harder with their cheers. I have their back and they have mine. Being in the pool is second nature for me, having swam for over 10 years both competitively and non-competitively now. The rush and scent of the pool is addictive; in fact, I used to tell my mom teasingly that I am not a land animal. My academic rigor, in taking the hardest IB classes while being at the top of my class, is critical to my personal goals in becoming a physician. Swimming grounds me, and gives me structure, discipline, and the construct in meeting my goals both in and out of the pool. I thrive academically and swim with purpose, being a valuable asset to my team.
