I enjoy taking the lead in situations. I remember a specific example from swim practice: my lane was not paying attention and was not focused at all. I took the lead and politely asked them to be quiet and then explained the set to them. They listened to me and were grateful for the explanation of the set. My coach pulled me aside after practice and thanked me for taking leadership of my lane. I love being around other people that love swimming and want to grow more as a team. I am always attending as many practices a week while also always putting academics first. School is very important to me, I try and strive for my best academics. I push myself by taking the AP classes offered at my school. Science and math are by far my favorite subjects. I love how interesting all the principles of science are and how math always has a right answer. I aspire to be an anesthesiologist one day. I want to study biology and chemistry in college. My dream has always been to swim collegiately. I know sometimes balancing athletics and school can get tough, but I’m willing to work as hard as I can to achieve my goal.
