My name is Grace Dluski. I am a 16-year-old junior attending Peoria Notre Dame high school in Peoria, Illinois. I began swimming competitively in 2010 when I was six years old. I have continued swimming competitively since. I have recently completed my high school junior swim season with Peoria Notre Dame, and upon completion, I returned to club swim with the Dunlap Dolphins Club Team. My club season is currently paused due to restrictions as a result of the coronavirus. During a normal year, I swim 2 hours a day, 6 days a week, and also weight train 3 days a week. My best three events are the 200 IM, 100 Back, and the 100 Free. As far as I can remember, I have always strived to swim and compete at the collegiate level. I possess a strong work ethic, and I am not afraid to put in the necessary work to take my swimming to the next level. I am a good candidate for your team, as I am not only committed to my personal performance, but I am also a team player. I am a leader, and I value the team effort approach. I have been nominated and awarded the team spirit award and maximum effort award on multiple occasions by my club coaches. These awards perfectly reflect my hard work ethic and team spirit. I am very excited and looking forward to the next chapter in my education and swimming.
