Rebecca McArthur '21 Recruiting Profile

    I have been a successful swimmer ever since I was young, however recently I have been working on climbing out of a plateau. Last season I did not drop as much as I would have liked, and while it caused me to be frustrated to no end, I also feel that it was a necessary learning experience, as I was able to work through this low point of my swimming career, and learned how to continue to work even if I am not getting the times I want. Eventually I was able to pull through and was able to end my season with some great drops in my distance events and have continued to improve as I climb out of this plateau, which has set me up for a great season.
    I have been lucky enough to be part of a fantastic swimming program in which both the coaches and my teammates have continually pushed me to be better, I hope to find a college that can continue to keep this trend, as well as satisfy my academic needs. I believe that I have the talent to swim for a college team, but more importantly I believe that I have the work ethic and leaderships skills to truly excel within a college swim team. I absolutely love swimming with all of my heart and know that I could be a valuable asset to your team.
