Education is my priority but swimming is my heart, and I would love the opportunity to bring them together and excel in both.
I have been swimming since I was ten, but have loved being in the water for as long as I can remember. Swimming is my favorite thing to do ever since I started, so it would be amazing if I could swim for college and, if I'm lucky, the Olympics. I am a very dedicated swimmer and push myself to be better at every practice. My favorite stroke is butterfly, but I work hard for all of them.
I also enjoy playing piano. I have played piano since I was 5, and all my teachers have told me I'm a natural. I sometimes sing with the songs I play, too. Right now my favorite piece is "River Flows In You". Music is my joy out of the water, which is why I aspire to play in college.
I am a good student, very hardworking, and get A and A- in all my classes, I am even in A Honor Roll and have recently joined the MN Honor Society. I work hard and do my best in all my classes. Math is my favorite subject, always has been, and I am in a college class. English is a very close second, and my teachers say that I will most likely get into an advanced class when there is an option to do so. I have also decided to do a German PSEO this year.
I like to read in my free time, some of my favorite books are "Harry Potter" and "The Lord of the Rings". Me and my family have also volunteered at a charity, numerous swim meets, and our swim teams concessions. I spent a summer volunteering at the YMCA as a swimming instructor in-between swim practice. I work at my local pizza place, MN Slice.
All in all, I am hardworking, persistent, dedicated, and would love and appreciate the chance to swim in college.
