My name is Sophia Swanson and I am a junior at East Hampton High School. It has always been a dream of mine to swim at the collegiate level, to swim at a university will not only better myself but create new experiences to grow as a person and better my teammates.
To tell you more about myself, I swim competitively on the East Hampton Hurricanes Club Team and on the East Hampton Varsity Team. Besides swimming, I play softball on the East Hampton Varsity Team and on the LI Express travel team; I also have been on the United States Lifeguarding High Performance Squad and have competed in many triathlons.
Another very important part of my life is my academics. Over the course of my high school experience, I have taken a rigorous course load including many AP and Honors courses. I feel that I have the skills needed to balance academics and the time needed to be a successful swimmer. It is my goal to continue my education at a college that will provide me the best academic experience and one that will also allow me to continue my swimming career.
