Reina Loiacano '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Reina Loiacano and I am from Whitesboro, NY, located in central New York. I am a high school athlete maintaining a 3.7 GPA and continuing to improve in all aspects of my life.  I first starting swimming in 1st grade and have grown to love this sport. I have pushed myself through many rough circumstances in my life and will continue to do so. During school swim I have focused on backstroke, fly, and IM as I am an all around swimmer. I achieve all the goals I put my mind to and have thrived through all my years of swimming. I love to stay positive and try to make everyone I encounter have the same attitude as me.  I will always do my best and push myself beyond my limits.  I have been on Varsity swim for 3 years now, and this past junior season I won the 100 butterfly for Section 3 Class B as well as recognized for League All-Star, coming first in the 200 IM my freshman year, 200 IM and 100 back my sophomore and junior year.  I broke a school record held since 2013 in the 100 backstroke my sophomore year, with a time of 1:05.36 and other school relay records were broken along the way. Swimming has taught me what hard work is all my life and has made me feel very accomplished. I want to continue to show improvement athletically as well as academically.  Having a great relationship with all my peers, teachers and coaches is very important to me.  I can't wait to see what my future has to hold for me.  Feel free to reach out to me as I will be doing the same.
