Megan Loughran '20 Recruiting Profile

I was 7 years old when I first jumped into the pool for swim practice, and I slowly fell in love with the sport.  As a young child, I dreamt I  would be part of the olympic team, as most children do.  Whether I reach that goal or not, the next step towards that goal is becoming an accomplished collegiate swimmer.

I currently swim for three teams, ranging from my high school varsity team, my local summer rec team, and my club team.  Participating on these three teams, I have been able to be in the pool 12 months a year for the past 7 years, including double practices during the fall.

Outside of the pool, I devote my time to lifeguarding and focusing on academics.  I want to major in accounting with a minor in business, ideally in a five year program that would allow me to receive my CPA after 5 years.   I am looking for an institution that would allow me to pursue my goals of competing at a high level of swimming, combined with an elite academic environment.
