Hello! I'm Claire. I've been swimming for eleven years as a breaststroker. I used to swim with the Hong Kong Island Stingrays, but I currently swim for the Greenwich YMCA Marlins. I'm incredibly interested in particle physics and would love to go into that field when I'm older.
I'm completely devoted to swimming, but I love to try new things. I've spent a lot of hard hours working on improving my swimming times. I've tried triathlon for a whole entire year, which was quite rewarding as I got to train in the HK National Youth Squad. I've also very recently started learning to sail, which is insanely fun! Both triathlon and sailing have helped me come a better swimmer.
As an individual, some of the more unique characteristics I'd attribute to myself are my enthusiasm and laughter. I'm that one swimmer at meets that stands at the end of the lanes and cheers for my teammates. If you ever see me with my friends, there's a very high probability that I'm dying of laughter at even the tiniest thing (such as pizza... it was a long day). I'm always seen as upbeat, encouraging others to go faster and try harder. And I always make sure to try my hardest myself.
