I started swimming at the age of 6. Ever since I started swimming I have always wanted to swim at the highest level I could. Swimming has taught me to push past the limits that I set for myself. Swimming has made me strive to be the best I can be physically, mentally and, personally. It has shown me that to work as a team, we can accomplish more than one person can.
I always strive to be my best even on bad days. I always find another gear to push myself to my best performance in swimming, as soon as a coach tells me to fix something I work on it right away and correct it. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and assist my coach with leading in practices and helping other teammates to success. I strive to be one of the hardest working swimmer and one of the hardest working recruiters you'll find.
I work hard year around on swimming and my technique, participating in swim camps and privates. I also have been participiating in summer league swim since I was 5. I have done a lot of little league sports like, Dance, Soccer, cheer, gymnastics, and lifting in the weight room, which all contribute to my athleticism.
In the classroom, I study hard and try to contain a high GPA. I did a year of the IB program at west Cabarrus high school. My goal is to be inducted into the national honor society. I started my own club sophomore year called the peer buddies club where we eat lunch and play games with the adaptive curriculum kids. I also volunteer with coaching on my summer league swim team and also volunteer at churches , Saint Thomas more catholic church and Saint James the greater Catholic Church.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and in the pool. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers, in my community and make my parents proud.
