2022 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I've been swimming competitively for nearly a decade, although my view on the sport has changed entirely. As a young pre-adolescent swimmer I relied on swimming as a social outlet, a way for me to get out of the house rather than a way for me to excel athletically. I have since found myself wanting to succeed and further my education in the sport as a whole. Finding the right school at the collegiate level I can swim for and represent is important to me. Swimming is something I want to prolong as much as possible throughout club, high school, and college, and hopefully someday beyond that. Like my coach always says, "swimming only lasts a moment" and I want to make that moment last.
