Sarah Fleury '22 Recruiting Profile

One of my goals since I was young was to swim in college. When I was 4 years old my parents signed me up with my older sisters for summer league. I fell in love with racing and just being in the water. Soon after, I joined junior swim league followed by the competitive team at Swim Mac. I have been swimming at Swim Mac Carolina for the past 8 years. 

I have always been very competitive and I don’t like to lose. I love sprinting and the excitement and energy that accompany it. Relays are my favorite! I don’t want to let my team down. I’m currently working on improving  all 4 strokes and my mid-distance events. 

School is also very important to me and I am a very conscientious student. As important as swimming is to me, so are my studies. I will be looking for a school where it is the best fit for me academically and athletically. It’s also important that the team has a family feel.
