I started running in 6th grade as a way to get out of going to after school. I then started to grow a passion & love for the sport of Track & Field, but mainly for hurdles. I got into hurdles because I love a challenge. At first I fell A LOT but I always got back up & tried again. I worked & worked on hurdles until it became muscle memory to me.
I would consider myself a very hard worker in school & on the track. I love to set goals for myself & I won’t stop until I achieve them. I would also say I am very good at adapting to situations. For example, unlike my competitors my school does not have a track for us to practice or compete on, instead I have learned to adapt to practice on what we do have which is a parking lot that we have painted lanes on.
