100 Fly, white OB...Personal Statement
I love to swim. I started swimming when I was 7 years old and have not been able to stop since my very first practice.
I swim six days a week year round with the OBX Swim Club. It’s a small club and I’ve had 8 coaches in the past 10 years. It's now part of the YMCA Tidal Waves and we swim in 86 degree water with aqua-aerobics going on nearby. There is minimal dryland and nonexistent weight training. We have a great group of swimmers, and I try to improve every day. It's great to have a USA Swimming program here on the Outer Banks, but I am also looking forward to getting to the next level.
I challenge myself in the pool, and also in the classroom, with as many AP, NC School of Science & Math, and College of the Albemarle classes as possible. I have always dreamed of swimming in college and I am going to make it happen.
