Greetings Future Coach!!
My name is Hannah Sharp. I am 17 years old, currently in my Junior year at Adrienne Nelson High School in Happy Valley Oregon. I am a triplet, living at home with my parents, my “younger” brother and my “younger” sister, (I'm older by one and two minutes, so that counts, right?). I began swimming with my Coach, Matt, at the Oregon City Swim Team when I was 9 years old and still swim there to this day. My favorite strokes are backstroke and butterfly, and I love racing in the 200 and 100 Backstroke! I love swimming for many reasons, including the amazing teammates that make my day so much better. I also love how swimming is an individual sport, with a big team goal. I admit I have never been a huge fan of team sports but have found that swimming is such a perfect match for me. My swim team has become my other family, and I feel so blessed to have them in my life. I also enjoy the feeling when I see improvement in my stroke technique and my overall progress at meets. I also love the pure feeling of adrenaline when I am racing against someone and going as hard as I possibly can. Swimming has been a life changing and wonderful experience, often becoming the highlight of my day. If I am having a difficult day, swimming often makes it so much better.
The thought of having the opportunity to represent a college in swimming is wonderful. It has been a goal of mine for quite some time and I am thrilled that the possibility even exists. To get an education in a field I want to explore, while doing something I love and making new “family” along the way are things I crave.
Thank you for reading my introduction and I look forward to meeting you.
