I came across swimming when I was 9, but I didn’t start out as a competitive swimmer at first. The time where I grew as a student athlete was during my high school swim season of sophomore year. The invisible bond with my teammates and the unwavering faith from my coach motivated me to reveal my love for swimming and to surface my untapped potential which lead my team placing second in state. Through swimming, I have learned the value of respect, resiliency, and responsibility.
I like to use my time productively whether it’s summer or during the school year; playing the violin in the pit orchestra for school musicals, attending a service trip in the Dominican Republic, or joining math club. I am fortunate enough to have opportunities to increase my abilities through swimming camps and additional school classes. I’m looking for a program that will fit my athletic ability along with my academic background. I believe that I have the motivation and dedication to compete at a college level, balancing academics and swimming. I know that I will be able to make a great impact on your team!
