Personal Statement
I am very passionate about swimming and teaching. I have been swimming since the age of 8. I may not be the fastest swimmer on the team but I am my team's biggest cheerleader and leader for our younger swimmers. I have been voluntarily assisting my head coach in the summer season with coaching the younger kids. These are the swimmers who are struggling with the simple strokes. My enjoyment for doing this has inspired me to become a swim instructor. I can now teach children of all ages the basics of swimming. I also teach the parents and kids about "my swamily", the Boyertown YMCA. I knew I had always wanted to be a teacher and now I get to enjoy both.
