Personal Statement
Hi coaches!
My name is Lauren and I'm a swimmer for Elite Swimming Club located in San Juan, PR. I study at Academia del Perpetuo Socorro in Miramar, Puerto Rico, and graduate in the class of 2026. I began swimming in 2019 when I was 10 years old, and have since seen dramatic improvements in my event times and performance. My wish would be to continue swimming during college and possibly study something related to Environmental Engineering or Marine Biology. I consider myself to be very dedicated, focused, and persistent when striving to achieve my goals, traits that can be seen in my across my academic and athletic careers. Additional to this, I was also part of Puerto Rico's National Junior Swimming Team, which represented PR in the ISF u15 Gymnasiade in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. Thank you for your time!
