“I think you have a great prospect in Kendall. She's someone who has always been capable of great things and she's already demonstrated the ability to push to the limit in training and I think sky's the limit for her. In fact, I EXPECT great things out of her in the next four years. She is not even remotely close to the limit of her upside potential. Some coach is going to get this kid into their program and look pretty good in a couple years. I recommend her to you without reservation.” ~Coach Ben Olszewski, Club Swim, October 2021
My whole life has revolved around the sport of swimming. From age 3 while I was afraid to put my face in the water all the way to age 16 making time standards and breaking records that 3 year old Kendall never would have thought would be a possibility. I’ve done a wide variety of sports such as soccer, basketball, track, cross country, and lacrosse but as I got older I made swimming my main focus because I have such a true passion for this sport. I truly can’t imagine my life without swimming.
Words cannot explain how excited I would be if I got the chance to swim in college. I’ve been to the University of Texas swim camp for two years. At the camp I got to meet the college coaches, meet the college swimmers, and so much more. I had invited my swim friends to do the camp with me but they all had said no so I went all alone and I was a little nervous but after the first day I wished I could stay there and swim with them forever. Leaving that camp made me more motivated then I’ve ever been. Getting to leave my home state and swim with people who are as dedicated to swim as I am and be in an environment where everyone works hard and has goals made me realize that a college team would be perfect for me. I’ve also been able to train with a team in California while on vacation and got to meet some super fast swimmers which pushed me to be better. Since I’ve been able to experience all these amazing opportunities it’s made me so excited for my future with swim.
Beside my swimming world, I am very involved at my high school. I’ve competed in DECA state freshman and sophomore year and placed 4th at our area competition. I’ve worked in our school store my sophomore year which includes running the register, serving/making food, and organizing our merchandise. Freshman year I was in ASB senate, Sophomore year I was class president, and this upcoming year I am class secretary. I’ve been taking leadership roles at my school since the 5th grade when I got to be president for the first time. I love helping make my school the best it can be and being there for all my classmates.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile and I really hope you consider me for your team.
