Personal Statement
Claire is currently a ninth grader at St. George's Independent School in Collierville, TN. (In May 2016, she graduated from eighth grade at Grace-St. Luke's Episcopal School in Memphis, TN.) She has been swimming with the Memphis Tiger Swimming (MTS) year-round team since she was 6 years old. MTS is in the Southeastern Swimming (SES) LSC. In 2014, Claire was selected to the SES Age-Group Zone Team. In May 2016, she represented Southeastern Swimming at the Open Water Zone Championships in Ft. Myers, FL, and won her age group. She will compete in the Open Water Junior Nationals in California in May 2017. Claire competed in the Futures Championships in Atlanta, GA, in Aug. 2016.
As a high school freshman, Claire competed in her first high school state meet in February. She made the A final in the 500 free and finished 6th. She also was 1st alternate in the 200 free. Claire anchored St. George's 400 free relay which made the A final and finished 6th. In addition, she anchored her team's 200 free relay which made the B final and finished 16th.
