2022 Spotlight Personal Statement
Hello!
My name is Avery Mason and I have been swimming competitively since i was 5 years old. Swimming has always been my passion, and even though i have tried other sports in the past i have always come back to swimming. Swimming is the place i feel happiest and I am really excited to make this choice to pursue it into college! I am a good candidate for your team because i am an extremely hard worker when it comes to things im passionate about and i am very disciplined when it comes to this sport. I have faced a lot of adversity when it comes to keeping my passion for swimming alive, especially with the covid that hit my freshman year and i was unable to swim for 8 months. I took that time to discover myself and remind me how much swimming means to me. And i'm so blessed to have been given the gift of swimming like i have.
