I have been swimming competitively since I was six but doing lessons since I was two. Since a very young age, swimming has been a passion of mine and an integral part of my life. I understand that swimming at the colligate level is a once in a lifetime opportunity that not many people get to experience, and therefore I understand what an honor and responsibility it would be. As the only girl in my family with two brothers I have always been competitive, but more than that, I've always been a hard worker.
Attending one of the most prestigious art schools in the country while simultaneously competing for two swim teams has enabled me to create not only an impeccable work ethic but also great time management. Additionally, being an artist has allowed me to grow accustomed to critique and feedback only enhancing my coachability, adaptability, and my desire to learn and grow.
Although I love to swim and regard it as one of my top priorities, my multifaceted background is another thing I take pride in. My involvement in girl scouts and a high GPA are just two of the many things I have kept up with during my athletic career thus far and I would like to continue to be involved in programs outside of swimming.
Ultimately I want to attend a school that challenges me both academically and athletically while being supported by an uplifting and diverse community that helps me to grow not only as a student or athlete but also as a person, friend, and teammate.
