Since fourth grade I have always been obsessed with swimming. Going to swim practice and swim meets were always my favorite parts of the day and what I looked most forward too. Swimming has shown me that through hard work and commitment, I can achieve anything I put my mind to. Swimming has also taught me key life lessons about the values of leadership, being a good teammate and maintaining a positive attitude regardless of the situation. One of my favorite parts of swimming is being a part of a team. Swimming has also encouraged me to maintain high grades in school and work hard in and out of the pool.
Moving to Texas at the start of my freshman year of High School helped me adapt to change and grow as an individual and swimmer. I was fortunate to make my High School Varsity Swim Team as a Freshman. Making varsity on such a fast and amazing team pushed me to work harder. I started at the bottom of the group and worked hard to move up towards the top of the group. Through my hard work, I was fortunate to make districts in the 200 and 500 free and advanced to making regionals in the 200 free. My focus for the next two years in High school is to excel in my academics, improve my times, and be the best teammate possible. I know I have the dedication, the passion and the required work ethic as a student/athlete to continue swimming at the college level. I am an outgoing person who likes to meet new people and loves challenges. I am looking forward to being on a college swim team after High school.
