Personal Statement

Swimming has been my passion ever since I started competitively at age 5 and it is my ultimate goal to continue my passion for this sport at the collegiate level. I am aware that reaching this goal is a very difficult and competitive process, which is why I strive to better myself every day to be the best swimmer and teammate I can be.

I consistently drop my times lower, and better my technique. I know that I can be a successful swimmer in college with my swimming ability. I have a very strong work ethic and always come to practice focused and ready to be the hardest worker in the pool. At practice and meets, I am a very supportive and positive teammate. I am sure that I can adapt to being on a college team and hope to become an optimistic and well-liked part of the team.

Out of the pool, school is my other top priority. I consistently keep a 4.0 GPA due to studying hard and working outside of class.  At school, I am involved with many extra-curricular clubs, many of which focus on leadership in school and in our community. I also take opportunities to better my learning during trips through school, traveling to many places around the world.

Ultimately I hope to find a college suitable for my academic and athletic desires. I want to push myself in and out of the pool so I can become the best I can be. I hope to find the best level of competition for my swimming ability and am open to any and all options to achieve this. I am excited to be on this journey taking my passion to the next level.
