Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Kaitlin Alberts; I've been swimming competitively for ten years.   I attend Marshfield High School as a strong student-athlete.  I have swam at MYST for seven years and started swimming at WYNS three years ago.  The team has provided me with a second family and built strong friendships.  My amazing teammates and coaches never fail to push me in practice and help me succeed in my goals.

As a student-athlete, my academics are of the uppermost importance.  My dedications to academics has helped me maintain a 4.0 cumulative GPA while pursuing swimming.  In tangent these tasks have created necessary time-management skills.  To get to practices six-days a week, I have to drive one hour to and from practice.  While this is a difficult feat, I have been able to swim at a higher and more commpetitive level without my grades suffering.  This is due to the competitive and focused nature of practices that allow me to expend all my energies after stressful days at school.

I look forward to a collegiate experience that will expand upon both my swimming and academic goals. With my aspirations of entering into a pre-medicine or biology degree, I aspire for a school that boasts academic rigor to help me achieve my undergraduate and medical goals of becoming a doctor.

I look forward to discovering a supportive and hardworking team that will be able to advance my swimming and technique.  I hope to accomplish this through an energetic and motivated coaching staff that will push me to new limits in practices and hold me accountable.

I am excited to take my swimming and learning to the next level!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
