I'm Bridgette Stewart. I am eighteen years old and participate in Southern California USTA tournaments. I know life is full of challenges, and I will never get anywhere if I don't work for it. I took AP and honors classes the last three years of high school, and am taking two AP classes this year. I play and train for tennis all year round; I have been playing for 8 years now. I crave to play tennis for a university; it has been a dream that I have been pursuing since I first stepped out onto the tennis court. I want to play on a college tennis team because I love working with others who are willing to work hard to reach a common goal. I would like an opportunity to play for an academically reputable university. I hope that I am able to receive this opportunity. In the meantime, I am focusing on improving my game, playing USTA tournaments, and succeeding academically.

- Started at 8:30am and ended at 8:00pm. Day consisted of groundstroke, volley, singles and doubles drills, serve and return practice, singles, doubles, and mixed doubles match play. Also each day we had a different strength training workout planned by the Athletic Trainer at Stanford University. In total the day was 11 1/2 hours dedicated to tennis and strength training.

- During my freshman year on the Granite Hills girls tennis team season of 2011, we beat Cajon High School 10-8 in the finals, winning the Etiwanda tournament. This was the first time the Granite Hills girls tennis team has ever won the Etiwanda Tournament. I played number one doubles on the team, and my partner and I went 11-1in the tournament.

- I go to practice with my private coach, Kishan Wicks twice a week. During the rest of the week, I am either playing kids from the Inland Empire about two days a week, or I am hitting with my sister, working a competitive USTA player three days a week. On the weekends I play tournaments. My off the court training consists of weight training, footwork drills, and sprinting drills.
