Hi my name is Chloe Cadelina and I am 14 years old. I started playing tennis when I was 5 and loved it ever since. Tennis is something that I take very seriously. I am willing to sacrifice many things to be on the court. I feel that I am happiest when I'm on the court. I enjoy training and working hard each day. Even in this challenging time due to the Covid-19, I'm keeping myself active by working out everyday at home. My two biggest supporters are my Mom and Dad. They sacrifice a lot just for me to go to practice each day and to attend my tournaments.
Winning the League Championship and becoming the Singles MVP as a freshman brought many great things for myself. Although it is only high school tennis, this brought me not only new friends but more confidence when stepping on the court. I began to feel less tight and more fearless when I played. I not only had good results in my first season of high school tennis but I also had good results in tournaments in the Southern California section. Each match I have played always gives me something to learn and work on. Tennis has not only changed me physically but it has changed me as a human being too. I find myself more mature with my decisions, more disciplined at home, and having an easier time focusing on my academics.
I love to learn new things on and off the court so that I could add to my game. Some of my collegiate goals is to attend a school with good competition, receive a full ride scholarship, to play for their tennis team and to take a course to my liking. I'm a team player and I love cheering on teammates and bonding with them. I also put tons of time into my studies and academics. I always try avoid doing the bare minimum and going for extra points on assignments. School is also something I enjoy because I get to learn new things everyday.
