Lauren Boone '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'4" singles tennis player from Los Angeles, California. I attend Marlborough School, and I will graduate in 2011. I have played and started on my school's Varsity tennis team since my freshman year of high school. In my freshman year, I played #2 doubles and earned 2nd team all-league. In my sophomore year, I played #1 singles, played #1 doubles, earned 1st team all-league, earned Most Valuable Player for my team, and was team captain. As a junior, I played #1 singles and was re-elected as team captain. As a senior, I am playing #1 singles and was re-elected as team captain. I am ranked 1 in the USTA girls 18s satellite singles league, [waiting for update] in the USTA 18s open singles league, and [waiting for update] in the USTA 18s doubles league. I want to attend an institution that has the right balance between academics and tennis competition that will challenge me both in the classroom and on the courts. I prefer a small to middle sized school in the south or on the east coast. I want to pursue a career in architecture; therefore I prefer an institution with types of majors (physics, engineering) that would prepare me for architecture graduate school. Ideally, I would like to be part of a tennis program where I could make an impact on the team. I know that I can represent the school in the best way possible.
