Academics are very important to me as I have maintained a 3.67 GPA. I am interested in a college with strong academics and I intend to be in the medical field. While education is #1, tennis is very important to me. If I never played tennis I would not be the person I am today. I started tennis when I was 5 years old, looking for a challenge because at the time I was also playing softball, basketball, and soccer. Tennis has taught me to never give up and fight on even if it gets tough.
I have played many tournaments and won over 200 matches in my life. Unfortunately, when I was 12 years old my dad passed away due to cancer and that put a halt to my tennis career. When I played on varsity as a freshman, I helped my team be victorious at both CIF and State. Finally, I gained back my confidence. Whether it’s on the court, or in the classroom, I always give 110%.
