I been playing tennis since I was at the age of 9 years old. When I first started to play, I knew I can make something of myself. Playing tennis at the colligate level will give many opportunities and more confidence in myself and playing ability.
One of my strengths on the court is my ability to control my ground strokes and showing motivation on the court. I make sure I don't just show my motivation for tennis in my lessons, but I also show motivation in my tournaments. In my school team, I'm number one seat, so I have to show motivation and leadership to my team. When I get coaching, I walk in with an open-mid, ready to learn. With the abilities of being coachable and a dedicated athlete, I can strive to be a hardworking and determined recruit.
I also show dedication in my school and classes. I maintain a high GPA of 3.33 and above. I was nominated for my national honor society in my school because of grades and I'm currently in the Chinese Honor Society. I don't just do activities inside school, I also do a variety of other activities and volunteer work outside of school. I used to help at the Ronald McDonald's house in Baltimore City and made breakfast for the kids that stay there. In my youth group, we also made blankets for the kids. My sister and I also did volunteer work at the Arbutus Senior Center in 2019. I now work as a tennis coach for young kids at Coppermine Racquet & Fitness. I believe that teaching kids can also help me learn and apply it my teachings to my playing as well.
The college I would want to attend to is where I can demonstrate determination in the class and on the court. I want to find the college that shows and has good leadership, good coaching, and good, new friendships. I'll prove to my coaches and my peers that I can be a great role model and asset to the team and school.
