Dymond Thames '21 Recruiting Profile

Good afternoon. My name is Dymond Thames. I currently attend Surrattsville highschool. I have an approximate gpa of 3.8. I've been playing tennis for about 4 years. Those four years include one year with USTA, one year varsity lettered at Eastside hs tennis, and a small amount of time with Surrattsville hs tennis. I plan to continue to play through college. I consider myself to be an intermediate player. I've given tennis lessons on multiple occasions. I'm comfortable with both singles and doubles, but my expertise lies mainly within singles. My strongest suit is my one-handed back hand. And my weakest suit as a player would be pushing my self too hard. I usually play s2 and d3. But this season I was offered s1, before COVID 19 had a different plan. Nevertheless, I am extremely interested in being apart of the your tennis program. I plan to attend my undergrad with a major in biology and a minor in something pertaining to pre veterinary studies. I personally live and breathe the great sport of tennis. I believe that no matter how much you play, you always have the ability to get better at it.
