June 2018Personal Statement
This sport has been one of the most important aspects of my life since I️ first stepped on a tennis court and gripped my first racket. From age 5 until now I️ have stepped on a million courts, each time going out to get better, work hard, and have fun.
I️ am currently in an International Baccalaureate program and holding a 3.9 cumulative and 4.5 weighted GPA. I have also taken Advanced Placement courses because I️ like to challenge and test myself in the classroom, in addition to on the court.
I️ am looking to find a college or university, where I️ can continue to improve, play, and compete, while also studying hard to better shape my future. I hope to continue playing for the rest of my life, and compete at the highest level possible during my college years.

- I lost in semi-finals after an incredible 2 hour long match against the girl who won the tournament. I have since reached out to this girl to practice against her and regularly practice with good competitive points.

- The partner I had planned to play with got sick and I last minute had to change partners to someone I had never played with before. Although this change occurred it didn’t throw me off and me and my doubles partner and I managed to pull out a very difficult consolation win.

- I had taken all the camps and lessons offered by the City, until I realized my skill level outmatched the competition of the other students. I then decided to volunteer coach these classes (ranging from age 4 to adult advanced) where I fell in love with helping others succeed and grow both physically and mentally from playing tennis. Starting in 2016, I started working as a coach for the City of Frederick and I am teaching classes during the summer of 2018 as well.
