Personal Statement

My main collegiate goal is to learn and study my field so that I may obtain a position that will allow me to help protect and conserve the world's natural resources, while growing as an athlete. I'm a good candidate for your team because I am hardworking and will be a strong link in the team chain.

I play #1 singles for the Pallotti High School boys team (so I play against all boys from rival schools), and singles and doubles for the Prince George’s Tennis and Education Foundation (PGTEF) during Junior Team Tennis (JTT) competition. PGTEF is where I train year around with head coach Zach Tobias.

A couple of my notable accomplishments to date include:

  • Pallotti Team MVP during my freshman and junior seasons
  • All MIAA during my junior season

I am cleared with the NCAA.

My current UTR is only about 5, but my improvement has been appreciable over the past few months under the tutelage of USTA high-performance trainer Nic Askew and Coach Tobias, and I am playing a ton of UTR and USTA tournaments to boost it also.  Also, my HS conference, the MIAA, has no interest in reporting match results to My UTR or the USTA, so my solid HS record does not influence my rankings or ratings, unfortunately. I held my own last season against all-boy number-one players from opposing schools, and I regularly bang with guys who have UTRs in the 8-11 range. So please check out my skills video, and consider this diamond in the rough for your team.

Also feel free to contact Coach Tobias, at 301.910.5328, or [email protected], or contact my dad Johnnie at 301.793.6955 ([email protected]).  I look forward to hearing from you, and thank you for your attention.
