As a senior student athlete enrolled at Francis Scott key high school, I strongly value focusing on my academics while playing tennis at a competitive level. I take honors and AP level classes with a hope of pursuing biology at a 4 year college in the fall of 2024. I thoroughly enjoy being involved with my community in order to help others around me and create a more positive environment. I play tennis year round both indoor and outdoor. My journey with the sport started my freshman year of high school when we went back in person for the spring semester. I have been on varsity all three seasons and completed in both counties and regionals freshman and sophomore year. My junior year season got cut short last year due to some medical issues that were causing me to have trouble in school. These issues have since been managed and i am back to doing well both academically and athletically. As I return for my final season this spring I have a few goals in mind. My main goal is to place in both the county and regional championships in order to compete in states. In order to work towards this goal I have started a practice routine for out of/ pre season and follow a workout schedule along side it. This routine includes drills, conditioning, and match play. As a player I know there is always room for improvement and plan to work hard in order to reach my goals. I hope to continue improving my skills and strategy by playing at the collegiate level beginning in the 2024-25 season.
