Personal Statement

I have many interests varying from being a mathlete to going on community service trips to the sports I play, but tennis has been something I have loved since many years ago. I put my effort into everything I do especially when it comes to school and tennis. I have been playing tennis since I was 7 years old and have played year round since I was 8. Tennis has become more than just a sport to me, it is a passion and is definitely something I want to continue to play throughout my life. I have a great coach and role model, as my stepdad played for Loyola Maryland's mens team and has been my coach since I first began playing.

Besides tennis, I'm very involved in many other activities throughout the year. I play numerous instruments and I sing, I have a passion for art, I'm on my school's math team, I'm president of my  school's community service club, I founded my own club called the positivity project, and I play field hockey, rugby, and football. As for awards, I am proud to say that I have gotten a perfect score on Math MCAS multiple times, I am apart of the Math Honors Society, I am apart of Nation Honors Society, and I received the Art Department Student Award. I also have been lucky enough to have my artwork  selected and showcased in local galleries.

All year round, I also work three jobs. I work at Restaurant Oro in Scituate, MA as a hostess and busser. I also have a job at Scituate Racquet & Fitness Club where I do numerous things such as desk work, assist in teaching younger children tennis, babysitting in the daycare center, and throughout the summer, I work as a day-camp counselor. The job I consider as my third job is babysitting because I do it so frequently-I have many different families I babysit for.

I am a hard working and ambitious person. When I commit to something, I put my all in to it. I look forward to being a Greyhound at Loyola Maryland this fall. As actions speak louder than words, I hope I have the opportunity to show my commitment and ambition on the Tennis Team as I know I will in the classroom.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
