Merci Hood '21 Recruiting Profile

Reaching the second round at Nebraska State Tennis in 2019, sparked a desire to compete at the next level.  This year, I have dedicated much of my time to playing tennis and working to expand my game.  I want to be able to give myself the best opportunity to accomplish my goal of playing beyond high school. 

Through tennis, I have grown mentally and I have learned to push myself beyond what I thought I could do. I believe that I would be a great asset to any college tennis team, as I excel in leadership and can bring a positive energy to different groups.  Whether it’s cheerleading for high school sports, being involved in student council, or even just learning in the classroom, I am consistently trying to be a leader amongst my peers and look forward to bringing those traits to a college tennis team.
