Hello, my name is Allison Goodyear. I am a Senior at William Floyd High School. I started playing tennis at the age of 8 but played additional sports as well. Tennis was always my number one sport .Last years tennis season was something I will remember forever. We were undefeated and during one of the games I led my team to victory. I was in the paper as a result of beating an opponent that had always beaten our school. I enjoy spending time on the courts and my teammates and coaches have become a second family to me. I put a lot of time and effort into practicing my backhand slices and improving my techniques. This included devoting time during the winter attending at the Westhampton tennis club. I also spent several summers at tennis camp. Even after the season is over we meet after school to continue practicing. I look forward to continue playing tennis during my college career. Academically, I also push myself and at the end of the 2022 school year my GPA was a 99.1. I belong to several extracurricular clubs such as National Honor Society, Foreign language Honor Society , and the Art Club. I am a team player and I am enthusiastic about finding a college that I can pursue my career in elementary education while also continuing to be a student athlete.
