I have been playing tennis for almost 7 years. The moment I picked up my first racquet, I fell in love with the game. I played on JV for two years before being moved up to Varsity as a freshman. Throughout my 4 years I have only lost 5 regular season matches. I have been playing number 1 for the last two seasons. My junior year I finished individual sections as the runner-up which landed me a spot at states. Last year as a junior I also led my team to a section II championship in team sectionals. Both on and off the court I am dedicated and persistent. During a match I will run down every ball and play my heart out every point. I couldn't imagine not playing tennis as I advance into college.
Academically I love to be challenged and pushed in order to succeed. This translates into my play as well. Throughout my high school career I have been on the High Honor Roll every quarter and have continuously taken AP and Honors courses. I am a member of Nation Honor Society as well. My favorite volunteer activity is Act With Respect Always. This program was started by my 6th grade teacher and family friend. I am an original member and have watched and helped the program spread across the country.
I am a hardworking, competitive tennis player who loves the game. I bring a positive attitude and determination every time I step onto the court. Whether it's practice or a match, I give 100% and then some. I would love the experience to play at the college level and continue to be apart of a team who enjoys the game as much as I do.
