My goal for college is to attend a school with a strong biology program and to play tennis at the collegiate level. I have played varsity tennis, soccer and cross country and have been all-conference and have advanced to regionals in both tennis and cross country for the past two years. This year, my partner and I won our tennis doubles title at the Yadkin Valley Conference tournament and advanced to the second level at our regionals in Elkin, NC. I love running, and I feel this has kept me focused and in shape for the sometimes rigorous tennis matches I have played. Tennis is my favorite sport, and I feel I would be a great asset. I realize playing a college sport is very demanding on one's time as I have seen with my brothers. Besides three sports this year I am also in two clubs (an officer in both), and I feel being involved with meetings and training keeps me better disciplined. I have seen from my brothers that some have had to leave a sport in college due to the rigors of academics. Presently, I am in the top five of my class. I feel I have great drive and focus. Of course, I love to win, but I do not give up and am determined to do my very best always. I am very approachable and sincere and although I may seem reserved, I like to see the humor in things. I feel I would be a great teammate as well as I like to buoy others up, especially after a tough match.
