Hi! My name is Sofia and I’m from a little city in Asturias, Spain.
I started playing when I was 3 years old but I started taking it seriously and playing tournaments when I was 7 years old. I stopped playing tennis for 3 years and started playing padel. Last year I started playing again before I came to the U.S. In the U.S I played varsity #1 singles and #1 doubles for South Aiken High School. Since I started playing again, I have fallen in love with it again. This year I was nominated and given the player of the year award in South Carolina Region V-AAAA.
Now I’m back in Spain and I currently practice for 2 and a half hours 3 days a week and I also do conditioning for 1 hour hour 2 days a week. I enjoy working out and practicing. I always try to give my best in every practice, and I love getting feedback from my coaches. I am always striving to improve both physically and mentally.
I take Honors and AP classes and this year I was an Honor Athlete. For the future I would like to study a business major.
