I’ve been playing tennis since I was 8 and I’ve been very passionate about it ever since. I’ve always aspired to play in college and now that I’m getting closer to that opportunity, I’ve become more serious about the recruitment process. I currently practice 2-3 hours 4 days a week. I’ve been playing on the varsity tennis team for my high school since 7th grade and have been the number one seed for the last 2 years. My team definitely isn’t the strongest, but I do believe they’re just as passionate about the sport as I am. As team captain, the camaraderie that comes along with being on a team is very important to me and pushes me to be a role model for my teammates.
I’m also very passionate about my academics. I’ve been taking accelerated classes since elementary school, honors classes since middle school, and am currently taking AP and PACE classes. I’m confident in my academic success and accomplishments because I know I have prioritized to my best ability and I always strive to perfect everything I do. The most important aspect for me when looking for a college, is finding a good balance between athletics and academics, so I can focus on both and thrive in each.
