While most girls my age are thinking of what outfit to wear to a party, I'm thinking of how to improve my tennis game. While my tennis peers are channel surfing, I am tuned into the Tennis Channel. This game has truly become a way of life for me! After a day in the classroom I am either at tennis practice or working at my job teaching tennis clinics for the next generation. Reaching physical exhaustion on the courts in the daytime gives me the focus and calm I need to really hit the books until my school work is complete in the evenings for the next day. I don't pretend to be the best tennis player that has ever lived. I know my limitations. However, I can guarantee you that a player with a more tenacious love for this game you would be very hard pressed to find. My varsity coach has told me numerous times that if he had a court full of Gwendolyn's there would be no limit to where our team could go. I am so looking forward to bringing my love for the game of tennis, my desire to win, and my ability to keep pushing forward when most would quit to your team in the 2019-2020 season.
