One day I hope to become an independent woman who successfully navigates the STEM community as a Cellular biologist. I would make a good candidate for someone tennis team because Im very supportive and very coachable, since my freshman year I didn't have teammates I could go talk to or have a friend on my team that I could hang out with, this particular situation had aspired me to be more respectful and accepting of new people I meet throughout my life because I personally know how it feels to be the odd one out. While I'm very good at understanding training methods and putting in the work to become better, at the beginning of freshman year I was ranked 8th on varsity, and with perseverance and motivated spirit, I moved all the way to second on varsity my sophomore year. Im different because I'm outgoing while confident, even though theirs a possibility that I may fail, I still put myself out there to try and experience new things, especially in tennis. I wouldn't say tennis has forced me to concentrate on academics since I was already academically successful, however, challenging myself with rigorous opponents at my daily training while dealing with my rigorous classes has helped me to recognize that it's easy for me to have to work harder.
